What is the Viridex RF?

The Viridex RF is a product developed by F Care Systems and offers the ultimate solution for the treatment of telangiectasias, veins associated with rosacea, cherry angiomas, fibromas, age spots, wrinkles and stretch marks. The actual manufacturing of the devices and accessories is done by third party manufacturers. The medical products developed by F Care Systems are CE (European Conformity) and FDA-USA (510K) certified. Furthermore, the company holds ISO 9001 quality certification and the ISO 13485 medical device manufacturing quality certification.

The Viridex RF uses the principle of thermocoagulation, which is the heating of the vein or skin through 4 Mhz vibrations at the tip of the needle. This rise in temperature is achieved by sending a high frequency pulse into the tip of the needle or catheter. Due to the isolation of the needles and catheters, the effect is localised, causing minimal damage to the surrounding tissue.

This technology allows invoking a temperature increase on a small spot without burning the surrounding tissue, as only the tip of the needle is heated. Only the temperature of the vein will increase and not the surrounding skin or tissue. As soon as the procedure is stopped, the heat will be gone too, because the tip cools immediately. As such, the Viridex RF has found an answer to the problem all laser treatments encounter, namely an unpleasant and sometimes painful increase of temperature in the area in between the vein and the surface of the skin.

The Viridex RF uses different types of needles. For every treatment option a different dedicated and specially shaped needle is applied. The settings are preprogrammed but can be changed according to each individual treatment.

Viridex RF can be used to treat:

  • Stretch marks: Stretch marks or striae, as they are called in dermatology, are a form of scarring on the skin with an off-color hue. They are caused by tearing of the dermis, which over time may diminish, but will not disappear completely. Stretch marks are often the result of the rapid stretching of the skin associated with rapid growth or rapid weight changes. Stretch marks may also be influenced by hormonal changes associated with puberty, pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, etc.
  • Telangiectasias and Rosacea: There are two types of needles used for this treatment, the K3i needle for facial treatments and the K6i needle for leg treatments.
  • Hemangiomas – Angiomas
  • Fibromas
  • Wrinkles
  • Hair removal
  • Age spots
